VP

The Scene: Last Night in my Living Room
The Time: 10:30pm
The Action: Watching Sarah Palin accept the nomination for VP

Me: She's amazing. I want to be just like her
Husband: Mmmmmmmm
Me: Did you hear me?
Husband: Uh, huh
Me: I mean, she just joined the local PTA and look where she is
Husband: Sounds good
Me: No, seriously. I could do that. I mean, I don't have a PTA to join, but one day I will and I can make a difference too
Husband: Mmmmm.....
Me: Are you listening to me?
Husband: What?
Me: I have ideas and I need for them to be heard
Husband: Lauren, you can't say more than a sentence without mixing up metaphors
Me: That's why they have telepromters
Husband: You don't really have a platform
Me: Umm.... I think all children should be able to sing and dance
Husband: I'm ignoring you again
Me: Listen to me. I think I really identify with her. She reminds me of myself
Husband: You hate dressing up, you would cry on the campaign trail, you don't play hockey, you can't skin a moose, and you would rather watch reality TV than make a campaign speech
Me: Hmmmmm...... point taken. Pass the chips.

not to mention rob would have to become a house-husband and try to do everything we hocky-pta-moms do anyway, heh. maybe you ought to take another look at the campaign trail :)

I love it!!!!! I felt the same way, but my husband was in bed asleep before she even started talking, so I didn't have anyone to get excited with. I'll go with you on the campaign trail if you make it sweetie. I'm not sure what I'll do, but I'll help out with lots and lots of joy and love! The White House could definitely use people like you and Sarah!

bahahahahahahahhaa!!!! I seriously just laughed out loud in the office and someone asked me if I was watching cartoons!! :)

I love it! Lauren, your ambition is awesome. And I thought you were a gold medal BROOM hockey player. Doesnt that count for something? :)Rob doesnt know anything, and Mrs. Palin doesnt know how to run 6 worship services, direct a kids tv show, and maybe not bring life to the Broadway stage. :)

BUT YES...America needs to see hearts of passionate hard working mothers just like you!! :)
