Mommy and Daddy Suttle visit and Bennett's first Gospel Gang musical.

The month of May started with the typical end of the year craziness! Last year I was so sad sitting in countless dance recitals, piano recitals, soccer games, etc.... and being surrounded by friends with all of their family members. My parents had said then that they would come out to see us in Texas the following May and try to come to as many things as they could. They spent a week and a half with us and were able to be a part of so many of my kids special activities. I was so grateful to have them to a part of our lives and see what the end of school looks like in our world.

First up was our Gospel Gang musical. Will did a great job singing with the Mark choir and Bennett had her first role ever. She played, Boogie. A space alien who communicated through drum beats. And I must say that she was a marvelous space alien.

Me and Mrs. Lynda with the cast!

Friday night line run through. Bennett felt like such a big kid hanging out with all of the 4th and 5th graders.

We were so glad that Mommy Suttle could be here for the performance.

Thankful for grandparents.

Mommy Suttle enjoying the Mother's Day breakfast at Lainey's pre-school.

Lainey and her friend Ben.

Mommy and Daddy Suttle got to peek inside Lainey's classroom and see her practicing her letter.

Enjoying an evening in downtown Dallas.

We love riding the trolley to dinner when we are downtown.

Checking out Trinity Falls.....

.....and the new cake bar. Two thumbs up from this crew.

Nobody can come visit us without a trip to downtown McKinney.

Mom and Dad were also able to go to the kid's STEAM fair at school.

Will and his beloved Mrs. Fortenberry.

BFF's.

Coming home exhausted, but proud, after a successful evening at the STEAM fair.

Two beautiful ballerinas

Lainey joined her brother in playing soccer this spring, but she also joined her sister and took ballet for the first time. Just like she didn't share her brother's enthusiasm for soccer, she didn't really share her sister's enthusiasm for ballet. Mainly because she didn't like itchy tights.

Bennett has been taking ballet since she was 3 and she absolutely loves it. She is old enough now to where her class is starting to perform outside of the studio a bit and she isn't limited to just recitals. Here are a few shots from the girls' performance at the McKinney Arts in Bloom Festival in downtown McKinney.

Warming up in their cover ups. I love this so much.

And here are a few shots from Bennett's recital this year. They did a tribute to the military and danced to Stars and Stripes Forever.

I really need this to be a canvas.

My beautiful girl. I think she has taken to the performing arts as much as I did.

And here is our little Lainey bug getting ready to head to her Spring recital!

She fell asleep in the car and I had to wake her up to take her in. She was NOT happy. I call this picture, "A portrait of a ticked off ballerina."

She could not have been prouder of that trophy. She slept with it every night for weeks. Man, I love that kid.

She finally has siblings coming to support her after years of sitting through all of their things.

I look tired.... because I am always tired. But I couldn't have been prouder of my ballerina.

beautiful sisters.
